Artist Bia Serranoni's main theme in her work is to challenge the limits of the media she works with, photography. B.A. in Photography from Centro Universitário Senac in São Paulo, the city where she lives and works. In her series we can perceive a common element, the architectural spaces, which assume a specific role in each one: the configuration of an experience, of its interior or of real or imaginary memories. With her non-figurative works, the artist invests in the idea of a non-linear time-space. Influenced by the aesthetics and precepts of the concrete movement (SP) and neoconcrete movement (RJ), the photographer bets on the universality of forms and the power of abstractions as complex perceptive elements that propose a contemplative relationship with the image. In the last years Bia Serranoni has participated in several International Photography Festivals, has participated in group exhibitions and publications, and was nominated as a finalist in the Tokyo International Foto Awards. In the year 2023, the artist was invited to make a site specific at Fundação Cidade das Artes in Rio de Janeiro, holding a solo exhibition inside the institution.
