"nudes. I. 04." Photograph

Photographer since 1985 Katerina Marianou was born in 1955 in Greece, in the Athenian port of Piraeus. She studied Fine Arts and Graphic Arts in Athens. Progressively she experimented, with success, in the development of chemically-processed photographs and prints. Portrait photography of political figures, singers, actors, composers et al. Artistic nude photography: The exhibition entitled "Zyranna" comprised a collection of nude portraits of Zyranna Zateli, beloved friend of the photographer and famed European author. It was through this exhibition that Katerina Marianou herself achieved fame. Fashion photography, in her case, consists not only of a momentary shot for the pages of magazines such as Elle, Diva, Marie Claire, Madame Figaro, Votre Beaute, Gynaika, Klik, on behalf of which she has done covers and illustrated articles... but also as an example of artistic photography which stands the test of time. Her amazing ability to transfer her vision of aesthetic portrayal goes far beyond the view of the merely sensual eye.
