Levada dos Cedros originates in the water springs of Lombo do Cedro, at an elevation of 1000 meters. Built in the 17th century, this levada is today one of the oldest watercourses built on the island, having been excavated in the soil of the slope and is lined with stone only in areas where the soil is more porous. It's surrounded by the leafy and varied vegetation, although the cedar stands out in many zones. There is a viewpoint, from which you can admire the grandeur of the mountains that surround the area.
