About The Artwork

According to wikipedia, "Alpha and Omega (Α and Ω), the first and the last letter of the classical Greek alphabet, [...] are a symbol for beginning and end, thus for the comprehensive, for God and especially for Christ as the first and last". For the Latin alphabet it should probably be from 'A' to 'Z'. This graphic shows the two letters 'A' and 'Z' coded according to the Masonic alphabet, which in turn is based on the Kabbalah of the Nine Chambers. The Masonic alphabet is based on a double cross forming a rhombus with nine squares. If you distribute the letters A to I over these nine squares, the outlines of the individual fields can serve as a graphic symbol for the respective letter in the cipher. The letters J to R are mentally divided into a second double cross and marked with a dot to distinguish them. In the original code, the remaining letters S to V and W to Z were divided into two St. Andrew's crosses. In contrast I apply two more double crosses marked with a small and a larger circle to distinguish them. The fourth is used exclusively to represent punctuation marks. The artwork is available as fine art print (paper format 50 x 50 cm, print format 40 x 40 cm) on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308g/m2 in a Limited Edition of 25 pieces (Hahnenmühle Certificate of Authenticity) and will be signed by the artist.

"Be a versatile workhorse, not a one-trick pony!" Living and working in Langen (Hessen), close to Frankfurt/M. (Germany), I was born and spent my childhood and youth in Bamberg (Bavaria). If you are aware of this medieval town you will definitely agree that this 'Franconian Rome' and World Heritage is certainly one of the most beautiful cities in Germany.
