Michael Glenn is an artist and a poet working out of Lubbock, TX. His, work reflects his history as a vagabond of the inner city, a child of poverty and underground societies, and his struggle to rise. Michael works with the largest contemporary printmaking collection in the American Southwest, the AP/RC (). Handling the works of other artists allows Michael to experience an intimacy with that art and its inherent historicity, which in turn informs his passion and his art. He credits Otto Dix, Erich Hegel, Max Beckmann, Kurt Schwitters, Louise Nevelson, and Ken Hale among his influences, but assures you that nothing will catch your breath and steal your heart more than the memory of wandering the rainy streets of Amsterdam with no more concern than to make it home in time for dinner.
