G Comini Craftsman in the art of collage G Comini is a plastic artist, who at the most successful moment of his career as an exclusive fashion designer creating prints and visual programming without using graphic computer, retires from the market, spending 16 years creating collages that he did not intend to exhibit. He retired and made the spa of a large hotel in São Paulo his place of creation. Not only because of his special sensitivity and talent, he makes collage his form of expression, having in his work reflections of his origin, a mix of Italian, English and Portuguese ancestors, being his full name Geraldo Dayrell Comini. He developed his own technique, assembling handmade 27 x 34.5 cm matrix collages using surgical scissors, scalpels and magnifying glasses in millimeter clippings of images of discarded magazines, without digital intervention. Special effects were obtained with watercolor pencils or pens. These matrices are then photographed in high definition and through Fine Art printing technique, enlarged in two sizes: - 137 x 109 cm - 100 x 79 cm The obtained result shows then three-dimensional effects and the cuts of every tiny piece. The work of G Comini always portrays the human being and his emotions, in an intricate game of images and colors. The work itself has a characteristic of sustainability, since images of discarded magazines become art. Each matrix is reproduced in limited edition of eight units each.
