This print depicts an African boy vending (selling), yellow bananas. The print is inspired from a school holiday practice where some young children sell farm produce locally to earn some pocket money or by assisting their parents in farm business. This is usually aimed at introducing the youngsters early into entrepreneurship during school recess periods. The choice of medium (linocut print), makes it easy for mass production of the artwork. The linocut medium is soft and easy to cut, as compared to wood.
