ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Burning Tree" image size 33 x 32" on 40 x 40" Somerset Velvet paper, a computer generated print, was inspired by a poem I wrote, (Yes I am also a poet) and by over 100 photos that I took after "hurricane Sandy" of downed trees and their exposed roots. The background was distilled from a number of photos of oil slicks, the fires, flames are incorporated in the branches of the tree; a commentary on our destruction of our environment , the opened exposed roots - our opened wound
