Like Piet Mondrian, the Bauhaus was also intensively concerned with the primary colors red, yellow and blue. Those base colors as well as black and white are again the basis for this artwork which directly makes the standard procedure of generating selfsimilarity obvious. Selfsimilarity can be created simply by iteratively replacing parts of a whole with a scaled-down copy of the whole. For this artwork I started with four tiles colored in white and the base colors of Mondrian. At each of the following steps a randomly selected tile was replaced by those four tiles again. The artwork is available as fine art print (paper format 50 x 50 cm, print format 40 x 40 cm) on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308g/m2 in a Limited Edition of 25 pieces (Hahnenmühle Certificate of Authenticity) and will be signed by the artist.
