The title of this piece is a play on the storied reason that Ganesha lost his human head to be replaced by an elephant head. Elephants, the largest land mammals, are revered by me and have played a role in my work over the years. I couldn't resist the temptation to put Ganesha and circus elephants in a temple context. Mixing the sacred/traditional with the profane/non-traditional seems to be the daily norm. This work is available custom framed in ash, oak or walnut for $100 more. I've found Ikea Ribba frames in the 19"x27" size fit this piece perfectly for $14.99. Ribba frames are available in black or white foil. Ribba frames use glass and are difficult to ship but they are available worldwide.
