From a new collection of works by the London based multi-disciplinary artist, these digital collages are focused on representing the essence of places the artist has visited. Gina's fascination with the colour green is deep - particularly in relation to both the sea and the botanical world. Inspired by the rich and fertile surroundings of Mount Etna in Sicily, this work is inspired by the contrasts of dark and light. Gina photographs her own painted textures as well as metal, walls, angles and light to create her digital collages. Printed on to soft German etching paper, these prints have a velvety quality to them that is rich and sumptuous. **These works can be licensed for trade projects and printed onto a variety of substrates in larger sizes.

Gina Cross is a multi-disciplinary artist and curator whose work investigates the relationships between shapes, colour and light. Within her own art practice she is currently working with metals, fabrics, paper and wood - often reclaimed. The foundation for the collections are based on her interpretation of places she visits, and her physical responses to each place with different colours, shapes, line and form, creating imagery using photography, digital tools, paint and collage. Originally trained in Textiles, Gina’s approach to her work is to play and experiment with a number of materials and processes to generate her artwork. Sweeping layers of paint on board are incorporated into photographic and digital compositions, alongside original paintings on metals, board, canvas and linen. Recently, Gina has been exploring working with reclaimed copper and aluminium panels, including painting, etching and printing directly on to the metals, using both analogue and digital processes. Gina’s ongoing research is in to the effect of light and colour on our wellbeing both in her own work and of the artists she collaborates with.
