This is a personal favourite, an insect I found at home, which started me looking out for all the other insects. I liked it so much that I made it into a quality Giclée print, limited edition of only 2. Giclée is as permanent as watercolour, and if I hadn’t written the edition number on it I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell that it’s not watercolour. Printed in the fresh spring greens of the original, on quality watercolour paper, ready framed in pine, total dimensions: 33.5 x 26 cm

I have always made art in various ways, and earlier in my art career I focused on modern sculpture, often made with soft materials. One of the drawbacks of sculpture is that the use of colour is complicated, but now I love to use interesting colour in my painting, whether to render a life-like reproduction of a person, insect, plant or landscape, or to make a bold statement in my "message" pieces. I love the quality of the ancient medium of paint, both oils and watercolours. I also love to observe and draw the world around me.. there's so much to see, and point out!
