About The Artwork
The theme for my first intaglio print was "tools," an idea the T.A for my class had. The imagery depicts a body from the waist down wearing a tool belt and a pair of ripped jeans. There are many pockets on this tool belt, each one holding at least one tool I need as an artist or in everyday life. The items go from simple things like a pen to items like the plastic screaming chicken, which represents humor. Every tool has it's function or meaning regardless of how silly or out of place it seems at first glance.
