III Print

This artwork was created through the collagraph technique of printmaking, where I crafted a print depicting a view of my college. The scene reflects the chaos and overwhelming pressure of life in general, symbolized by the fragmented presentation with paper cuttings and splashes of ink. The monotone palette emphasized the lack of colour, evoking a sense of mental exhaustion and disarray caused by the heavy academic workload. I hope viewers will resonate with the emotions depicted in the artwork and recognize the universal experience of feeling overwhelmed by life's demands. Through this piece, I want them to contemplate the impact of stress and pressure on their own lives and empathize with the struggle of finding balance and calm amidst the chaos. I chose the collagraph technique for its ability to create rich textures and visual depth. This piece belongs to a series of experiments where I observed how the ambience of a place can transform throughout different times of the day and week, creating diverse energies, feelings, and auras.
