ABOUT THE ARTWORK
These objects hold nostalgic memories of childhood teatimes, having been handed down through the generations. As a subject I was attracted to the rhymes and rhythms of the curves and ellipses, contrasted against the painted decoration. I drew the composition directly from observation onto a hard wax ground on a copper plate, which was traditionally etched with acid, then individually hand printed on quality acid free paper in a limited edition.
