'La Pudicizia' - Limited edition giclée print: Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm quality archival cotton white paper using light-fast, pigment-based inks achieving the highest quality both in colour match and detailed reproduction of the original artwork. The print is an ultra-high resolution reproduction of my original artwork rendered in charcoal over watercolour wash and copper leaf and is based on Antonio Corradini's sculpture at the Cappella Sansevero (1752). La Pudicizia, or Modesty, forms the trio of artistic excellence of the Sansevero Chapel, canonised by travellers, guides and art historians since the 18th century. The monument is dedicated by Raimondo di Sangro to the memory of his “incomparable mother”, Cecilia Gaetani dell'Aquila d'Aragona, who died on December 26, 1710, when Raimondo was not yet one year old. The drawing strives to capture Corradini's elegant modelling of the drapery through a combination of loose stokes, detailed shading and chiaroscuro to draw the viewer's attention to the veil.
