Anny Langer - Statement "I'm attracted by a figurative expression that I work with through photography, painting and drawing. I often use my own photographs as inspiration for my paintings and drawings. I work out of events and social topic that touches me. Natural and urban environment are subjects in my work. Raised in Cologne/Germany with childhood summers in Northern Germany and Denmark have formed the need to move me between city and nature surroundings. This has had a big influences on my visual works." Background: Anny Langer is a German artist, pedagogue and yoga teacher living in Norway’s capitol Oslo. She grew up in Cologne, Germany with family roots in Northern Germany. In 1994 she moved to Norway and has since lived in Oslo. She has taken part in a number of exhibitions in Norway and several Oslo Open events. She’s exhibited abroad like in the Chianciano Biennale 2018 and London Art Biennale 2019. She’s been part of the studio fellowship in Dælenenggata from 2012-2017 and from 2017 to 2019 Østerdalsgata, both located in Oslo. She’s a member of NSFF (Norwegian Society for photography) and Oslo Kamera Klubb (OKK). Langer works with drawing, painting, mixed media and photography.
