Beneath the surface lies a deeper exploration of personal history: navigating the complexities of a lost boyhood and the imposed gauntlet of girlhood. That journey finds a parallel in Fox's practice of repurposing found and discarded materials — wood, book pages, forgotten objects — breathing new life into them in a creative act that mirrors their own nonlinear social and medical transition. The resulting work invites viewers into a world where reclaimed materials become vibrant reflections of self and identity. Fox's work is held in collections at Soho House properties, and they actively contribute to the artistic programmes of institutions including Tate Modern and the V&A.
