is the Site of Elisabeth Elisabeth comes from an artist family. Her father was an art historian whose father was an architect. The great-grandfather was a stonemason in the Cologne Dombauhütte, whose father was master woodcut maker also in the cathedral Bauhütte to Cologne. She was born during bombing in Duisburg during World War II. The war was a defining event in her childhood. At an early age she painted with everything that was achievable. After her birth, the father was a soldier at war, then many years in Russian captivity. At that time she lived with her mother and her older sister in Unkel am Rhein. She experienced how the Remagen Rhine bridge was destroyed at the end of the war and still remembers it alive.
