"On top" Print - Limited Edition of 3

My work is inspired by a metaphor I created over 6 years ago, the world of fish men, which takes place in surreal landscapes inhabited by characters with human and fish characteristics. My surreal and poetic theory explains that humans before birth were fish men, who lived at the bottom of the ocean, which symbolizes the womb, and how at birth they are separated from their world, based on the theory "The trauma of birth" by Otto Rank, where neurosis, anxiety, and mental disorders come from birth, which is a traumatic act. The fish men are entities without gender; that's why they wear masks, because their spirits swim, as our unconsciousness does, the place where we turn to find answers, something similar to the origin. The technique is lost plate printmaking. I enjoy the challenge of creating color through the juxtaposition of inks, knowing that each piece is impossible to reproduce and therefore truly unique.
