Graduated from the Department of Japanese Painting at Musashino Art University in 1966. Soon after he specialized in copperplate etching printmaking, and since the last ten years also making woodcut prints. His studio is in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture. Currently Chairman of the Shinshu Print Art Association. He has held over 100 solo exhibitions both in Japan and overseas and had been invited artist in Hungary, especially since 1990, what influenced his artist carrier mainly.
