After moving to London, I worked as an Art Director for Christie’s International. I also worked for world renowned companies such as Hat Trick Productions and the BBC Film Unit & Post Production. As well as being an Artist, I continue to work with numerous International clients and Global brands. My work is inspired by the philosophy of “Momento Mori”. I am fascinated by the transience of life and death with the passing of time. As time passes and we age; we become increasingly aware of our own human frailty and death, which is the only certainty in life. I use Medieval and Still Life images combined with my own photographs to create elaborate collages. I hand cut and layer hundreds of photographs, add hand painted details and 24 carat gold. Each piece explores the “darkness” of our psyche which counterbalances with our “lightness”. My compositions are intertwined with symbolism, including flora, fauna and sometimes astrological events.
