Sehera Nawaz is an analog photographer based in Berlin, deeply passionate about exploring alternative printing techniques, especially Cyanotypes. Her journey began with a background in computer science, where she delved into understanding the intricacies of light behavior and camera mechanics. Drawing upon this knowledge, she embarked on a mission to breathe new life into traditional analog photography methods, infusing them with a contemporary touch. One of her signature styles involves creating two-colored Cyanotypes, seamlessly blending modern-day photographs with the time-honored Cyanotype process. It's a technique that allows her to bridge the past with the present, resulting in captivating visuals that captivate the viewer's imagination. Her work has found its way into book publications and magazines, and she take immense joy in sharing her knowledge and expertise through Cyanotype workshops held at her studio in Berlin. Beyond the technical aspects, my artistic journey is a deeply personal one. Through projects like the '#blaugemacht' series, I explore themes of tranquility and introspection, seeking to evoke a sense of calm amidst the chaos of modern life.
