I have been working as a full time artist in the south west, since retiring from the local government cultural sector in 2015. Printmaking in traditional mediums is my current passion and my work focuses on where the landscapes, water and sky meet. The portfolio traces my travels both at home and abroad, and evokes memories of those times spent with loved ones in the places we cherished. The work focuses on the beauty I experienced when creating my initial sketches, and taking of many photographs, that then leads to planning my response through a number of different print mediums. The light and reflections is so important in my work and capturing this on paper I always find challenging. I am predominantly a self-taught artist but have, and still attend many should courses and workshops to continue my learning. I do use other mediums in my works which includes pen and ink, watercolour and acrylic on both paper and canvas. I have exhibited widely in Devon and Cornwall both in galleries, society exhibitions and through Open Studios events. I do regular courses and workshops in beginners and intermediate printmaking techniques in Devon and Cornwall. I am a member of the Tamar Print Workshop which enables me to develop my traditional etching, a members of the Devon Art Society, Torbay Guild of Artists and Brixham Art Society. I exhibit with a number of groups including Tamar Valley Printmakers. Nature is always my inspiration
