Glows under a black light (UV light), an innovative and fun take on the 'Bull' series, creating a statement piece for your home! Edition of 20. 1 of 4 in a series. "The Bull," born in 2003, now graces the Hermitage Museum, a timeless piece in Svetlana K-Liee's artistic journey. It marks her foray into art and stands as a steadfast emblem within her expansive creative tapestry. In 2003, amidst profound spirituality, K-Liee embraced Christianity, delving into sacred verses and prayer. Her fascination with ancient faiths grew from her Soviet upbringing, diverging from family pursuits in engineering. As she explored beyond her roots, a spiritual metamorphosis unfolded, coinciding with "The Bull's" creation. Marriage in 1997 at 19 shaped K-Liee's ethos—embracing life wholeheartedly, living without regret. This philosophy permeates her roles as a wife, mother, and in intricate artistic realms. "The Bull" embodies inspirations from this period—an emblem of youthful vigor and curiosity. Its uneven edges echo the shroud cradling Christ, symbolizing the spiritual ambiance of K-Liee's life. The bull, a symbol of power, shares sacred space with a half-Japanese flag, a homage to her sojourns and cultural intrigue. In 2024, "The Bull" transforms into silkscreen prints, debuting at Seattle's Art Fair. The series unveils four distinct pieces, a visual symphony of K-Liee's evolution. Originally six, the fifth and sixth remain experimental, infused with vitality from two decades of contemplation. K-Liee's artistic rhythm, akin to "20 Years After," echoes in deliberate pauses—20 years of gestation, allowing each piece to evolve. Departing from etching reflects K-Liee's adaptation for health, a testament to resilience and evolution. "The Bull" series invites savoring—a transformation from its original etching form. K-Liee extends an invitation to experience this new rendition at Seattle’s Art Fair in July 2024, a series breathing vitality transcending time and space.
