Thor Odinson is an American comic book character created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber (lyrics) and Jack Kirby (drawings), published by Marvel Comics. Inspired by the namesake deity of Norse mythology, Thor, known as the God of Thunder (God of Thunder) or The Thunderer (The Thunderer), is the heir to the throne of Asgard, son of Odin and Gaea. Through his powers derived from his double heritage and the enchanted hammer Mjolnir, Thor is one of the strongest and most important protectors of both worlds, a founding member of the Avengers[4] and one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe.
