There is an article about me on "People of Print". Please Search to "Tomoko Kanzaki" in the site. ----------------------- Bone-in Osaka Japan, I’m a printmaking artist based in Tokyo Japan. I studied Fine Arts at Kyoto Seika University and graduated with specialization of Printmaking in 2006. I participate several in group exhibitions and I have solo exhibitions, in Tokyo Japan in 2019. My prints are mainly abstractly collaging that from such as landscapes or shapes from Garden(Japanese Garden) with some representational references. So, I’m reconstructing and making the Garden by printmaking. --------------------------------------------------- I use mimeograph to make plates. The technology originated from Edison Mimeograph, Japanese who brought it made a unique improvement, and completed "mimeograph printing" which makes plate making with "waxed Japanese paper" and "iron file". It's been 100 years since then that printing technique has been in use for a long time, but it was a very attractive printing technique. It was a simple mechanism and it was found that various expressions are possible. I began studying the technology by self-taught. My work on Saatchi art has such a history.
