Cut-outs of painted canvas on a metallic structure.

"Let it go, and let it come back differently"

This sculpture has been made of eighteen paintings, cutted and pasted on a metallic structure. It stands on a stretcher and shows its transformation from painting to sculpture by tearing itself from the canvas in order to go from two dimensions to three dimensions.

The approach is to destroy already painted canvases and reconstruct them in a different manner. To let go original paintings in the expectation of recreating them differently. To learn to let go and believe in the possibility of renewal.

As a multidisciplinary artist, I work with different mediums. I love juxtapositions and collages. With my camera, I collect and gather the textures, colors, and shapes that surround me. I translate what I have learned from this engagement onto different media, using several mediums. The convergence of mediums, even discordant ones, allows me to challenge established norms of artistic expression and offers me a plurality of languages and artistic expressions. Having had the privilege of being selected for several artist residencies around the world, the source of my work often comes from the country or city where I set up my studio; I let the place become my muse. Over time, I have become a nomadic artist, and wherever my studio is, that is where my inspiration lies. My artistic journey is created layer by layer from impressions retained from my travels and encounters. This transforms who I am and significantly impacts my work. Whether through nature, architecture, or social or ecological events, these new places inspire me not only during my stay, but also when I return home. Thank you for your support!
