The series '9to5' is about working time and specifically a standard office working day from 09:00 to 17:00. Sometimes it feels like the day never ends, then time flies. Is a six-hour workday actually better? But there are also days when eight hours is not enough. The clocks play with the idea of what a (standard) working day is, how it feels and is experienced. The clocks will simulate these feelings and thoughts by sometimes running very fast as if time flies, giving you a six hour work day or an extra long ten hour work day. With a ten-hour working day, the clock therefore takes ten hours to cover the distance from 09:00 to 17:00. It looks like it's 17:00, but it's actually 19:00. The clock then corrects itself so that it runs on time again. This clock is part of the '9to5' series, which in turn is part of the larger 'About time' project. The clocks are each unique but are in an edition of 100 in total.
