About The Artwork
The fish swimming around the pond, A peaceful scene that I respond. I took a small net pocket in hand, And waded into the water so grand. With careful steps and gentle touch, I cast my net and caught as such, A little fish that leapt and played, Within my net, it gently swayed. The thrill of the catch, I recall, A childhood memory, forever tall. The joy of fishing, a pastime so sweet, A memory that I'll always keep. As I release the fish back to the pond, I reminisce of days long gone. Of simpler times and carefree days, When catching fish was how I played. And though time has moved along, That memory remains forever strong. A reminder of the joys in life, That come with patience and a little strife.

I was born in 1969 in Guang'an, Sichuan, China. I graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Southwest Normal University and became a freelance artist afterwards. My early works were mainly oil paintings, influenced by Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists such as Monet and Seurat. Through continuous learning and creative practice, I gradually integrated the artistic essence of Matisse, Picasso, Dali, Chagall and other artists, and combined with my own Chinese cultural background to develop my own mature artistic style.
