Abs-3 Reflective form Sculpture

This form was inspired by the work of Barbara Hepworth. It is an early example of my experimentation using 3D printing technology to create forms, from which plaster moulds are made and the piece is slip cast. In Abs-1 the goal here was to explore how to use 3D printing software to create virtual shapes then bring them to the real world. Abs-2 used marbling to show the curved space, this one, Abs-3, explores the inter-play of reflections within the form using an Obsidian,bronze-metallic glaze.
