This abstract angel I had in my mind long time before I created it. For me holes are staying in us after somebody hurted us or if we are missing someone. Empty space can be anything...
This sculpture I made from beautiful wood which is Afghanistan cedar (cedrus deodora). I've worked here first with chainsaw and then moved to traditional hand chisels. It's finished with Danish oil and can be displayed indoors or outdoors as well.

Welcome to my profile. I am Patrycja Picha and I am from Cieszyn in South of Poland. From June 2018 till September 2020 I lived in Consett running my self employed business as Patrycja Picha sculptor and helping in some projects for Tommy Craggs Tree Sculpting. I still have my art business in UK but currently I live in Denmark. My self employed business I closed in end of March 2022 but I still make my art. My sculptures and paintings are in private collections in Poland, England, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Sweden and USA. At Uni I was working mostly in clay and my sculptures were inspired mainly by nature. After Uni I started to work in wood and this stayed till today. From the idea to ready sculpture it's a long way of analisys and connecting in sculpture heart and mind together. In photography I am most interested in the city and trace of human. Actually in wooden sculptures I am most concentrated in topics like angels and womens faces and abstract. Sometimes mixed together. I am a painter too where I ampouring on canvas what I actually feel. Painting it as abstract colours. One of last exhibition had title "Feelings" because of that.
