After Freedom Sculpture

Ramesh Bisht is a senior and eminent Sculptor of international repute and he has done very significant work in the field of modern creative sculptures as well as portraiture and installing monumental sculptures of eminent political personalities from across the world. He has also worked on special projects for the Indian Army. Ramesh Bisht has, with confidence and courage, attempted different media in sculpture - be it stone, cement, wood, plaster, welded wire, terracotta or ceramics. Mastery of the medium is the first prerequisite for any work of art and Ramesh Bisht in his long career has rightly acquired the necessary discipline. Though chiefly known for his prolific sculptures output in the course of his long and illustrious career, of his in the words of famous art critic Richard Bartholomew " Strong, clearly executed drawings depict the sculptor's definition of form". He has amassed a lot of experience in his teaching career of four decades. And along that journey he has produced and helped a lot of young artists to build their eminent careers.
