Sculptor, Stéphane CHAUNARD was born in Bordeaux (FRANCE) in 1969. Autodidact, drives by a strong need for artistic expression, he tests himself with painting then with the sculpture, in 1998, at the time of a stay in New Caledonia by carving a head of Kanak in a gypsum block and a ridge arrow in a piece of wood. On its return in France, he models in ground several busts of women and men. In 2003, before leaving for South America then to the Antilles, not being able to store the whole of his works, he made run out of Bronze two models, that he loves particularly, are fond of in order to preserve them. The other ground sculptures were destroyed. The desire for carving never left him and in 2016, he begins a project in honour of his 2 year old daughter. And at this point in time he decides to expose and put in belly his works.
