ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Amica is the first of five sculptures in a series called the Apology Sculptures, an art project I recently completed embracing my loneliness. Remembrances of love, joy and regret help create these imaginary pieces. For Amica: I sit alone by the river, Brooklyn on the other side. She waves. A wake spreads moonlight and stars and gently laps the river's edge. We listen.
