About The Artwork

I explore the confluence of our analog world with our digital life in this work. Do we gain or lose something in our humanity as we converge with a digital interface for a vast amount of our communication and collaboration? Interpreting classic analog art (Venus di Milo ca. 150 b.c.) by first digitizing it then expressing it ayer by 6mm l layer in an experimental large-scale 3d concrete printer, essentially going from analog to a 3d digital file and then an analog interpretation of that digitized 3d image, we find both beauty, connection and alienation in the classic human form.
