Amelia Johannsen is an artist whose work is a vibrant fusion of her Portland, OR roots and the creative energy of Barcelona, her home since 2005. Inspired by nature’s raw beauty and the dynamic world of ceramics, she has developed a distinctive style defined by organic forms, textured surfaces, and coastal-inspired hues. Growing up surrounded by the wild landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, Amelia found her first creative sanctuary in the clay studio, forging a lifelong connection to the natural world and a deep commitment to sustainability. These values continue to shape her artistic practice today. After earning a degree in Communications at the University of California and exploring international travel and traditional career paths, Amelia embraced her calling as a professional artist in 2018. Since then, her ceramics, mosaics, and paintings have been featured in exhibitions in the USA and Spain and highlighted in international media, earning her a reputation as a bold voice in contemporary art.
