We look and wonder. We steadily scrounge the parts together; fitting, measuring and matching endlessly, finding meaning and thus allowing the work to emerge in our hands. Our work thematically touches on the impact of man on the earth, and is therefore handmade, circular and modest in nature.

My interests are diverse, as is my art. Here I present my work in several collections. The portrait drawings and pinpricks are solo works, the assemblages are made in collaboration. Please see the series below for more information. GOODS AND CHATTELS A collection of work made in collaboration. We work with parts or objects that have become waste or surplus, forgotten and dusty, or are precious and therefore preserved. They are modest objects that we all take for granted, but which, when properly considered, possess beauty, have character, or tell a story. Our work thematically touches on the impact of man on the earth, and is therefore handmade, circular and modest in nature. The compositions do not arise from logic or functional context, but from material coherence and from our imagination. We want to convey our feeling and our emotion. Our assemblages are poetic impressions that touch you, surprise you, or evoke a memory. IN AND OUT OF REALITY With my portraits I strive to move and to connect, to visually resonate the in-between world. I aim for my portraiture art to be a space where subject matters reveal their being and becoming, their moving in and out of materiality, in and out of history, in and out of reality. My portraiture portfolio as shown here is a mix of free work and commissioned work. To me, there is not much difference between the two, because I always find my own story to tell, also in proposed subjects. Moreover, commissioners give me a great deal of freedom, for which I am thankful.
