ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Title: Cluster This piece is an exploration into how planes of wood and colour composed over each other can achieve a three dimensional level that is unique only to wall sculpture. There is a pull to look closer into the piece, to see under, along and over the levels that impose over one another. Three lines of paint cut across the piece in free form, calculated to connect their respective colour blocks. This gives the piece some continuity over the maze of squares. Made of premium birch ply. Painted in acrylic. This piece measures: Height: 25inches (63cm) Width: 43 inches (109.5cm) Depth: 2 inches (5cm) Two recessed keyhole slots are installed on the back, so the piece is ready to hang with two-level screws in a wall. The keyhole hanging method also allows the piece to hang flush and secure to the wall. I have signed and dated the artwork on the back. *SHIPPING* This artwork is shipped in a custom made wood crate, ensuring safe passage. All items are shipped with a tracking number. This tracking number keeps you informed all the way from sender to receiver.

Vince is a London born, Bath city based artist who's work offers an alternative to the conventional plane and shape of framed paintings by bringing his sculptural wall art to attention the viewer. He creates artworks that focus on the interaction of colours, shape and depth. The composition and palette choices are influenced heavily by his teenage years spent as a graffiti artist. The evolution of this, post-graffiti genre, is evident in his work by the way he carefully composes sculptures of spacial balance making use of geometric and abstract forms. Vince's skillset is based in fine woodworking that has been passed down through generations of Bauhaus orientated artisans in his family. The discovery of artists such as Paul Klee, Joan Miro and Wassily Kandinsky urged him to introduce colour to his sculptures. His artworks can be found in both private and corporate collections worldwide. The Bath Times have run features on his work over a number of publications. His pieces are constructed from premium birch ply. They are brush painted in artists quality acrylic paint.
