Simona Frigerio was born in Como (Italy) in the spring of 1975. During her lifelong learning journey she has experimented with multiple paths and creative languages, finally coming to the enchantment of ceramics. From the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, going through training and specialization courses, Simona reached her atelier in Veniano: a forest-protected realm where the magic happens. She shows her artworks at exhibitions and fairs both in Italy and abroad: at the International Trade Fair of Interior Design and Jewelry, Abitare il Tempo( Verona) and Macef (Milano), at the London Design Festival, at the Art Fair Artexpo New York, at the solo exhibition "Equivalence between Form and Movement" in Como. Her hands create a spell with an archetypal flavour, a ritual of clay and fire. The ancient Raku technique and primitive firings meets vivid colours and create powerful creatures and amulets. Creator of colourful, natural and fantastic, visionary and ironic, the artist Simona produce unique pieces of introspection and hope, dreams and fears, quiet and ferment. Contemporary myths of metamorphosis, telling the story of the whole humanity.
