Nina initially studied at The London College of Fashion which included St Martins London Art College. She trained as a Make-up Artist, specialising in Television, Film & Special Effects. Here she studied amongst Ballet dancers from The Royal Ballet of whom had a big artistic impact on her & influenced her sculpting passion today. She studied Still life , drawing, & sculpting. She also had to study the human body to aid her skills in the making of Special Effects, which later also became a big help in her sculpture of the human body. After many years of sculpting for Special effects, she turned her hand to sculpting people which then became her passion. Nina has always loved the elegance & beauty in the human form. She wished to express the soul, touching emotion through her clay. As Nina has always had a love for The Ballet, the expression & emotion expressed through movement & the grace & flow of the dancers, she was inspired to sculpt them. It took Nina back to her own personal years of dancing herself, watching performances & training to be a Makeup Artist with retired Ballet dancers at The London College of Fashion. Nina also has a passion for sculpting portraits, capturing the character & personality of the person, through the clay. She has sculpted for commission in the past & exhibited in private & public exhibitions including App Art & Hatchlands. Nina had 3 sculptures in The final Positive show in The Chilli Art Gallery, Athens. Two of her dancers in the series were part of this. She will also have her 2 dancers & The bride’Chloe’ on display at The 6th International Art fair at Thessaloniki in November this year 2022. is a member & exhibitor of Surrey sculptures.
