A native of Zimbabwe, Gerald has been drawn to the arts since early childhood. In his youth he engaged in dance, theatre, music as well as visual arts. Trained in textile design he has worked in various commercial art industries including textile printing, graphic design, and signage. Stained glass fabrication was added to Gerald's artistic experience when he joined the team at Rudy Art Glass Studio () in 2007. In 2009 he turned his creative energy to mosaics and established Gerald Davidson Studio located in York, Pennsylvania. It is a full service art studio providing design, fabrication and installation services. In addition, Gerald Davidson Studio collaborates with designers, architects and private clients to create works that are site specific, customized to reflect the client’s requirements. Gerald is a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA), Contemporary Mosaic Art (CMA), and Rudy Collective.
