ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The works from the Bildstein series all follow the same question. How can I enter the interior of the stone and make it accessible to the viewer? Of course, without robbing it of its soul...I achieve this goal by making deep incisions from both sides, so that on the one hand there are views through and on the other hand the stone is divided into different sectors. These are then either polished or left natural. This results in sculptures that have two different sides that define each other.
