Bust of John Lennon Sculpture

It is a great pleasure creating sculptures. I enjoy the process for more than 20 years. Imagining a character or making a portrait of a real person, I figure out a story behind. We can read it through his eyes, face details, mimics, the set of the shoulders. I try to read and tell all these features in my sculpture. Each time I create a story, like a mini performance, where every detail has a sense. I started in the Obraztsov Puppet Theater workshop. Then I began to create art dolls and sculptures. 4 years were devoted to work on anthropomorphic robots. Also since 2017 I create objects for famous Moscow theatres (Theatre of Nations, the new theatre, the Chekhov Moscow art theatre), as well I make props for TV advertisement. Through the years, my specialty was creating portraits. Now, inspired by great music and personalities of rock musicians, I`m making a collection of their portraits. I created busts of John Lennon, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Kurt Cobain etc.
