The CANIC lamp was created as an exploration into a design style which illuminates complexity through simple combinations of form, material, and light. Created using advanced digital and manufacturing techniques such generative 3d modeling, CNC machining, and laser cutting; the manufactured pieces were then assembled and finished by hand. This piece functions as a statement of the fluidity of light between the solid planes, points, and extrusions creating the complex form of this piece.
