This artwork was inspired by my own tropical fish and it was such a pleasure creating this Koi sculpture. The daily lives of these animals are so fascinating and it can keep you glued to them for ours. Each day I learn something new creating these adorable sculptures. I love the Koi fish as it is such a graceful fish and the patterns and colours of these animals are mesmerising. This beautiful fish symbolize good fortune, success, prosperity, longevity, courage, ambition and perseverance no wonder they are called "living jewels" and "swimming flowers". Koi fish are known for their ability to climb rushing streams and waterfalls until they reach their destination. They are determined fighters that do not give up. Each of these Koi sculptures are hand made by me the artist and no 2 will look exactly the same. This artwork is from my Koi fish collection. Please note this artwork is unframed. Thank you for looking at this artwork

I likes to experiment with all types of medium and crate unusual items that are mesmerising to look at and captures the imagination. My inspiration comes from nature, love, technology, space and everything that surrounds me in life. Although my preferred medium is paper I also enjoy playing with paint creating paintings with a minimal feeling and texture. I am living and working in beautiful South Africa. I am a quiet person that enjoys the company of myself. My work expresses things that are very obvious and recognizable to everyone but with a twist. The shapes and textures in some of my work may not be pretty or even correct but the point of my work is to get a message across that is strong and undeniable sometimes. At the moment I am fascinated and sometimes obsessed with the unseen organisms, cells, and atoms that surrounds us. It is like a portal to a new universe that forms part of a different dimension, yet is also part of our daily lives and survival. My artworks demonstrates my perception of this concept. The universe and all its complex patterns and rhythms are unexplained to all humanity, therefore I like to produce artworks to explain them and share my findings for the world to see. These unexplained findings produces unexpected artworks. I love working with paper as my dominant medium, as paper can transform from one dimensional to a three dimensional shape just by folding a flat sheet of paper. I like to surprise my audience by providing an unusual shape that is almost hypnotic to view. By using paper as an unexpected medium, it can send the brain into an unknown pattern of thinking that will change the outcome of its reality completely. This means the brain will start producing chemicals that will start thinking positively and inspire creativity. In my abstract paintings I explore layering of colours that are hidden behind the frame almost like a hidden painting within a painting sheepishly asking to be noticed, I also use heavy textured coloured paint in specific areas of the paintings protruding out almost shouting to be noticed, these textured shapes in my mind can represent everything I can imagine.
