Brugger has been experimenting for years with a self-developed wood pulp, which she elaborately produces from wood shavings and sawdust. Among other things, this is also the basic material for her objects. "Candy Girl" carved of lime wood and mounted on a steel plate. The skirt made of many different sized and colored balls. Each individual ball was previously made by the artist elaborately, from self-produced and dyed with pigments wood paste by hand, again associated with long drying times. Afterwards every single ball was attached with wooden joints to the sculpture. With "Candy Girl" the artist connects her memory of her USA vacation many years ago, where she was in one of many colorful candy stores in San Francisco. In the midst of full of colorful sweets she felt like a little child again. Each work of art by the artist is unique. Sculpture suitable for indoor use only.
