ABOUT THE ARTWORK

When I was a child living in Germany, I was often playing in the woods. Creek beds and their masses of jellylike frog eggs were endlessly fascinating. When I was asked to make something with frogs, I thought it might be fun, if I could come with an idea that meant something. It was not until I was carving details into the wax hanging frog did I realize that I was doing a self-portrait of sorts...myself as the hanging frog. My parents told me the story of how as a baby, I had crawled out of my crib one night. They entered the room after hearing my cry. I was hanging by the knobs on the dresser, terrified of my future. Here, though, the sitting frog is more curious of the outcome without his intervention. a Yin and Yang of sorts... It is a popular piece that often starts fun and interesting conversations. This bronze weighs about 4.5 pounds and will ship from Norfolk, Virginia. It is number 4 in the edition.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I am interested in why we do what we do and how thoughts progress. Since I was a child, I watched and touched and listened, trying to make sense of things. It was easy to feel the sadness of life, but also the yin and yang. So, I work to put beauty in front of us. I have been told that my work is “all over the map” but in my mind, everything is connected. I hope you enjoy your visit and will be enticed to view more of my work and writings. Thank you.
