I was born in South Africa in 1978 in White River South Africa. My works are born from my inherit love and passion for nature, not only wildlife but the ancient peoples and their cultures that came before me. From an early age I was exposed to the outdoors, in particular The Kruger National Park, this is where my passion for Africa and its extremes grew even stronger. After matriculating I finished a series of diplomas in Wildlife Management and game capture, as well as a degree in Nature Conservation. My passion for art however led me in a total new direction. In 1998 I started apprenticeship in an art foundry and began my journey discovering the alchemy of bronze. In 2000 I started my own bronze foundry, known as The Loup Art Foundry. The Loup Art Foundry has grown to become one of South Africa's leading bronze foundry. Thousands of bronze sculptors under the manager of Michael Canadas.
