SHIPPING AND RETURNS

A study of a chickadee on a 1930's era telephone that was in my house when I was a child, and terrifyingly enough it's still functional to this day. Entire piece is stoneware fired to cone 6 and polished, sealed in a durable hard wax finish. Thank you for taking a moment to view my work.

Scott Ferguson is an oil painter exploring how we relate to nature. He is known for his compositions of powerful wildlife compositions. He's been creating professionally since 2010, exhibiting throughout the Northeastern US featuring in collections and tours sponsoring wildlife protection and conservation. He now works from his home studio near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Scott's work reflects a love of nature, agriculture, and the wildlife it inhabits, instilled from an early age wandering around his farm and the surrounding wilderness. Original paintings are inspired by fleeting moments of the these wild inhabitants of the wild wilderness, in glorified representations. Scott's paintings usually employ an element of lighting and warped fragmentation in his work, trying to build a personal connection to the viewer in his own painting studies. Scott is interested in finding out what it takes to create a powerful composition, to paint for those who enjoy it.
